I’ve recently contributed to a book project about American Muslim men speaking about their lives and how their Muslim beliefs have shaped who they are as Americans.  Edited by Zahra Suratwala and Wajahat Ali the book also features essays from Aman Ali, Hussein Rashid,  Mark Gonzales,  Preacher Moss,  Hasan Minhaj, Kamran Pasha, Baraka Blue and a lot of others.  The book is forwarded by Muslim US Congressman Keith Ellison.

I won’t give too much away but I’ll say that my entry is regarding the impact the tradition of crying in azadari had on my identity as a man.  You can now pre-order the book on Amazon.
